Bulky bedding needs room to move to wash properly. Our large-capacity commercial washers make it easier to wash doonas, blankets, quilts and similar items that don’t fit comfortably in a household machine.

Frequently asked questions
Can I wash a doona at Sudzone?
Yes. Our large-capacity commercial washers, up to 27kg, are suited to doonas, blankets and bulky bedding. Check the care label first – items marked dry clean only aren’t suitable for a laundromat wash.
Can I wash pet bedding?
Yes. Sudzone has a dedicated pet washer (W10, $12 per wash, $14 from 1 October 2026) and a dedicated pet dryer, so pet bedding is washed separately from everyday household laundry.
Do I need to bring detergent?
No, you don’t need to. Dirt brand laundry detergent is available from the vending machine in store. You’re also welcome to bring your own.
How much do the washing machines cost?
Washers cost $6 (W7–W9), $8 (W5–W6), $12 (W2–W4) or $16 (W1) per wash, depending on the size of the machine. The dedicated pet washer (W10) is $12. From 1 October 2026 these become $7, $9, $14 and $18, and the pet washer $14 – our first price change since 2019, with no card surcharge.
How much do the dryers cost?
Dryers are priced by time. Every $1 gives you 6 minutes in Dryers 6–12, 5 minutes in Dryers 2–5, and 4.5 minutes in Dryer 1 and the Pet Dryer. From 1 October 2026, every $1 gives 5 minutes, 4.5 minutes and 4 minutes respectively.
Can I wash several loads at once?
Yes. You can run several washers and dryers at the same time, so multiple loads are finished in one visit.
What time does Sudzone close?
Sudzone is open from 6am to 11pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Can I use Sudzone if my washing machine is broken?
Yes. Sudzone is self-service with no booking needed, so it’s a simple option while you wait for a repair or a new appliance, or during a move or renovation.
How can I pay?
You can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, or $1 and $2 coins at the kiosk.
